Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AtlasLinq's NFC digital business cards, sharing methods, plans, and enterprise features.

Getting Started

What is AtlasLinq? Is it the same as AtlasLink?

AtlasLinq (sometimes misspelled as AtlasLink, Atlas Link, or Atlas Linq) is an NFC-powered digital business card platform. The correct spelling is AtlasLinq, combining 'Atlas' for global reach with 'Linq' for linking people. It lets you share contact info via NFC tap, QR code, or link, with no app required for recipients.

Do recipients need to install an app?

No! Recipients can view your profile and save your contact directly to their phone's contacts app without installing anything. With P2P sharing or QR codes, they get the vCard directly, with no browser needed. This is AtlasLinq's key advantage over other digital business card apps.

What sharing methods are available?

AtlasLinq offers 6 ways to share: NFC tap, NFC tag, QR code, AirDrop, Quick Share, and Web link. You can also scan paper business cards you receive and digitise them with on-device OCR.

Do I need to buy a special NFC card or hardware?

No: your existing Android phone is the card. You share by tapping phones, showing a QR code, or sending a link. If you want the feel of a traditional physical card, you can optionally write your profile onto a standard NFC sticker (widely available online) once, and it taps like a regular business card from then on. No subscription hardware required.

How is AtlasLinq different from other digital business card apps?

AtlasLinq’s advantages: recipients don’t need any app, 6 sharing methods, Host Card Emulation for phone-to-phone NFC on Android, 58 achievements for engagement, an offline-first architecture, and a built-in business card scanner.

Why choose AtlasLinq over paper business cards?

Digital advantages: Always up-to-date (change info anytime), never run out, track who views your card, include unlimited info and links, eco-friendly (no paper waste), and work globally with any smartphone.

How does AtlasLinq help the environment?

Paper business cards are printed in bulk, go out of date the moment a detail changes, and are usually thrown away. AtlasLinq eliminates printing waste entirely: your digital card is always current, never runs out, and requires zero paper or ink.

What is the difference between a digital business card and a digital contact card?

They're the same thing! 'Digital business card', 'digital contact card', 'virtual contact card', and 'digital name card' all refer to an electronic profile you share instead of a paper card. AtlasLinq is a digital contact card app that lets you share via NFC tap, QR code, or web link. No printing, no waste, always up to date.

Sharing & NFC

How does NFC sharing work?

Tap your phone to an NFC tag, or to another Android phone. On Android, AtlasLinq uses Host Card Emulation to hand over your profile as a vCard without either phone opening an app. Anyone can receive your card on any phone by scanning your QR code, opening your link, or tapping a tag you have written.

Can I track who views my profile?

Yes! The analytics dashboard shows profile views, sharing activity, and engagement metrics in real-time. View 7-day activity charts, top connections, location data, and see which sharing methods work best for you.

What phones are compatible with AtlasLinq NFC?

The AtlasLinq app runs on Android 8.0 and newer, and NFC sharing needs NFC enabled in your device settings. The people you share with can be on any phone, including iPhone: QR codes and web links open in any browser, and iPhones can read an NFC tag you have written.

What NFC tags work with AtlasLinq?

AtlasLinq supports NTAG213 (144 bytes), NTAG215 (504 bytes), and NTAG216 (888 bytes) NFC tags. The app auto-detects tag capacity and optimizes the payload. NTAG215 or NTAG216 are recommended for full vCard support with profile URL.

Can I use AtlasLinq without NFC?

Absolutely. While NFC is a key feature, AtlasLinq offers other ways to share: QR codes, web links, AirDrop, Quick Share, and the business card scanner. You can network effectively without ever using NFC.

Is AtlasLinq a NameDrop alternative?

Yes! Apple NameDrop (iOS 17+) lets two iPhones exchange contacts by tapping together, but it has no branding, no analytics, and only works between iPhones. AtlasLinq works across iPhone and Android, lets you customize your digital contact card with your brand, and shows you analytics on every share, so you actually know who saved your contact.

How is AtlasLinq different from Apple NameDrop or Android Nearby Share?

NameDrop and Android Nearby Share are built-in features that share your default phone contact, with no customization, no tracking, and no cross-platform support (NameDrop is iPhone-only). AtlasLinq gives you a fully branded digital contact card with multiple profiles, 6 sharing methods, real-time analytics, and a shareable web link that works on every device. It's the professional upgrade to built-in contact sharing.

Teams & Enterprise

Yes! Teams can create profiles with consistent branding: same colors, logos, and templates. Each team member manages their own profile while maintaining brand consistency. Great for sales teams and client-facing roles.

What is the AtlasLinq admin dashboard?

Enterprise subscribers get access to a web-based admin dashboard at atlaslinq.com/dashboard. From there you can manage your team (invite members, organize them into departments, and grant read-only viewer access), configure your company card and reusable branded templates, create object cards for physical things, and review team-wide analytics, with an at-a-glance Overview plus dedicated Profiles and Objects views. Alongside all leads captured across every team member's share page.

How do company cards and member cards work?

When you create an Enterprise team, AtlasLinq generates a company directory page at atlaslinq.com/share/yourco and a branded card for each team member at atlaslinq.com/share/yourco/membername. Every member card carries your company branding automatically: logo, colors, and locked company fields are controlled by the admin.

What does a team member get with an Enterprise plan?

Team members invited by an Enterprise admin receive a provisioned account with Pro-level access: 3 profiles (including a company Business profile), unlimited NFC writes, unlimited OCR card scanning, unlimited history retention, advanced analytics, and ad-free experience. At no extra cost. They don't need to purchase a separate subscription.

How does lead capture work on share pages?

Every AtlasLinq share page includes a 'Share Your Contact' form. When a visitor fills it in, their name, email, phone, and company are saved as a lead. Pro accounts capture up to 25 leads per month; Enterprise accounts get unlimited leads across the entire team. View and export leads from the Leads screen in the app.

Can I add more than 2 team members to an Enterprise plan?

The base Enterprise plan includes 3 seats (you plus 2 members) and a shared company card. Additional member seats are available as an add-on, up to 48 members. Contact support@atlaslinq.com for pricing on larger teams.

Are CRM integrations available with Enterprise?

Yes. Enterprise plans include CRM auto-sync with Google Contacts, Zoho CRM, and HubSpot, so captured leads flow into your existing tools in real time, deduplicated by email address. Leads captured before you connect can be pushed across in a single backfill.

What are Object Cards?

Object Cards are digital cards for physical things rather than people: restaurant tables, property listings, hotel rooms, equipment, retail displays, and more. Attach one to any object with a QR code or NFC tag and visitors instantly reach whatever you put behind it: a menu, manual, booking page, troubleshooting guide, or reviews. Enterprise admins create and manage them from the web dashboard, including bulk-creating a numbered run in one action. Every Enterprise plan includes 3 object cards; additional cards are billed per card per month, with local pricing in every supported market.

Every Enterprise plan includes 3 object cards at no extra cost. Beyond that, additional cards are billed monthly per card, with localised pricing in every supported market. You only pay for the cards you create.

Can I see analytics for object cards?

Yes. The admin dashboard has a dedicated Objects analytics view showing views and contact saves per object, grouped by location, with a source breakdown and trends over time, so you can see which tables, listings, or rooms get the most engagement.
